I have an urgent prayer request for anyone who reads this.
As of right now, my life is falling apart, in some cases, torn apart.
I can tell you the whole story personally, but for now, just know the following:
-I have lost my motivation and zest for the future.
-I am losing my love for life (natural and not).
-I'm struggling with relationship dilemmas.
I know this must seem incredibly emotional, and let me tell you...It is. I'm so emotionally drained right now, its ridiculous. I miss being the person I used to be so much, and I want to be there again.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I'll keep you posted.
on another note...
Piano Recital
I will be performing Chopin's Etude in C minor as a solo, and will be playing Exodus as a Duet with my friend Michael.
It is at 7:00 at the Indian Hill Bible Church, West of Cedar Lake road off of Fairfield.
Thanks for tuning in to the chaos that is my life.
----------Edit----------
Thanks for praying; I had an inspiration to post some of these pictures I've taken over the past couple weeks.
Look at this flower. What a crazy, amazing God we have!
The fog coming off the warm pavement after a cold rainstorm
The trees made a cross. I thought it was pretty sweet.
The X was put on the houses by the search/rescue boaters. the number on top is the date searched, the left is the organization searching, and the number on the bottom is the number of dead bodies found.
there were a lot of zeros on the bottom. the house with the five on it was one of the only ones we saw.
the damage is still really bad down there.
our first house/yard: if you were told that you needed to mow your lawn, for everyday that you didn't, you were fined $100.
This was the kitchen beforehand. this is 18 months after the hurricane!
Abby and Lindsey going to town on a boatload of drywall
This was only the beginning in terms of how big the pile of garbage was outside of her house. we added considerably to the mix.
I didn't get many pics of me, 'cause I was the one taking them, usually.
GREAT action shot of Sharon taking out a wall. It has to be one of my favorites.
Jamin monkeyin' around (just kidding, he's a really hard worker)
Abby and Lindsey are beasts, let me tell you.
Mr. Tobias, and a very triumphant Mr. Tobias at that.
Day 1 of work: rest time, night time.
De-briefing the days events
Matt and I took out a beastly sink. that thing was in there really well.
arrgh!
This room they're standing in is the kitchen. See a difference?
That lawn mower (affectionately called Betsy) did NOT like me. See the way it's spitting grass and dirt at me?
The kitchen again. It is a beauty, Eh?
The closet/bathroom/bedroom that Lindsey and Abby went at

Praying in a now very clean room after finishing the house in a day and a half (that's VERY good time).
This was our team's day to serve dinner. Mustard, anyone?
Some guys from another church and Luke and I got off to a good start.
Our team took out a whole block this day. we saved them a LOT of money (remember the fines for not mowing your lawns?)
This was one of the yards on that block. The stump didn't stand a chance.
"Josh, can you take me seriously?"
She was definately duck taped to her bed, that Tessa.
Our team was assigned to help another team that was struggling to finish their gut.
They call me a monkey for a reason.
Wrap-up and prayer for our last house
Going home...Sniff...It was a great trip.
Thanks so much for looking! God really worked on this trip. according to adults, we were "a force to be reckoned with". I can't wait to go back.
